Game 2 for the Purple Strikers was this morning. Only 9 out of our 11 girls were able to make today’s game. It’s Spring Break week here in Huntsville so we lost a couple kids to grandparents house and out of town trips.

The thing about today was that the opposing team only had 5 players so we loaned them 2 players each quarter so that we could have a game with all players playing. As fate would have it every time we sent our two players over, they became instantly pro level! My daughter Maya included. She played goalie for the other team in the 3rd period and was dominant. I was proud of my child and mad she was doing so well at the same time LOL!

Game Recap:

Samia (4th from left) scored a couple goals for us and is really becoming a leader for our team. Rand (4th from right) did a unbelievable job at goalie in the 3rd period. Rebecca (2nd from left) and Lauren (2nd from right) showed their grit by battling back from injuries during the game to continue playing. Ayah (center) played big defensively for us keeping the game close. Yesmine (3rd from right) responded well and showed her toughness after I got onto her in the 1st quarter for not being in attack mode. Maya (my daughter), Ebba (1st from right) and Isabel (3rd from left) worked hard for our team, then played even better while on the other team showing their competitiveness. I was really proud of all my girls.
