Holby City legend Hugh Quarshie has landed his next TV role since leaving the BBC One series last year. This time, turning his talents to a “glossy, high-stakes family drama”.
Announced by ITV, Riches will follow the charismatic and formidable Stephen Richards, a self-made millionaire whose life is turned upside down when a stroke forces two sides of his family together.
Written and created by How To Get Away with Murder and Four Weddings and a Funeral‘s Abby Ajayi, Riches will see Quarshie star alongside Deborah Ayorinde, Ted Lasso‘s Sarah Niles, Luther‘s Hermione Norris, and Downton Abbey‘s Brendan Coyle.
Adeyinka Akinrinade, Ola Orebiyi, CJ Beckford, Nneka Okoye and Emmanuel Imani also star.
Quarshie – who played Ric Griffin in Holby – takes on the lead Stephen, while Niles will play his second wife, Claudia.
