So, in a bid to allow his first non-remix release to cause a stir, David Bay has put his personal stamp on Joy Division’s “Love Will Tear Us Apart”. Taking the hit’s infamous lyrics and high string machine sounds, the rising artist injected a unique blend of 80s disco and indie-funk sound sensibilities into the classic track, allowing it to be re-born as a retro-inspired staple that is headed straight towards the top of your latest playlist.
